The Right Honourable Alan Cadman, MP
23 Terminus St.
CASTLE HILL NSW 2154
Dear Alan:
It is with some trepidation that I enclose the accompanying
material for your perusal.
The enclosed information is startling, to say the least, and I
preface my letter with the use of the word "trepidation" because
on perusal you might think me "unbalanced". Alan, you have known
me for some years now and I think you would believe me to be a
relatively rational person. The first line on the first page of
the accompanying document says: "..dedicated to the people who
cannot forget a..book entitled 'The HAB Theory.'" I am one of the
people who cannot forget.
I have read and reread this book over a dozen times; I have
loaned and lost at least ½ that many copies. Each time I read it,
I look a little more into its hypotheses and I become more
persuaded of the possibility of its accuracy. I was, more or less,
prepared to leave it at that - nothing more than a curiosity -
until a few days ago when I stumbled across an article on the
Internet which prompted me to write to you.
The sheet numbered is 1 is included by way of explanation as to the
thrust of the book (the "science fiction" nomenclature is, I
believe, inappropriate).
Attachment 2 is a letter from the book's
author to the Internet site "webmaster" detailing how he came to
write the book (the article I stumbled across a few days ago).
Attachment 3 contains the segments of the book which are relevant
to my reasons for writing to you.
Attachment 4 is a checklist I established a few years ago to
start my research; the page numbers referred to are the book's, a
copy of which is in the State Library of NSW. The book itself is,
in large part, boring because so much of it is devoted to the
"love story" component which is irrelevant.
Why do I bring this to your attention, how does the
Commonwealth Government fit into it and what do I want to see done
about it? Relevant questions all. I bring this to your attention
because I am persuaded that the HAB Theory may have some validity
and if there is any chance whatsoever that some or all of
it may be valid, then we as a Nation must beseech the world to
act. I want nothing from this other than to see it looked into. I
believe that if you, like me, are persuaded that it requires
immediate investigation, then you must bring it to the attention
of the Prime Minister for him to instruct to the CSIRO to
immediately look into it as a matter of urgency and, in their
opinion, if there is some possible validity to the HAB Theory,
that corrective action is taken.
I know, Alan, that you are a very busy man, but the looking
into of this must begin somewhere. I implore you for the sake of
future generations of Australians, to give it your attention.
Yours faithfully,
/s/
